Portlaoise Camera Club is an Award Winning photography group based in the Portlaoise.
Our club runs from 8 - 10pm every Wednesday in Portlaoise Parish Centre, Co. Laois, Ireland.
Membership for the year (Sept - June) is €50 and the meetings have a €5 charge to help with the rental fees.

In February 2011, Portlaoise Camera Club was born. A group of enthusiastic photographers came together to form what has become vibrant and very active society. The club and its members have achieved many benchmarks in their first year from building up a very active social networking page, running workshops, organizing field trips to hosting their first exhibition and even winning a national photography competition.
Our aim for 2023 is for every member of Portlaoise Camera Club to further their photographic learning.
Our members are all keen to learn new aspects of photography and expand on their current knowledge. For this reason 2022 will see Portlaoise Camera Club supporting our members to achieve their photographic goals.
This will be achieved through talks, workshops, field trips and the helpful advice of other members.
Club meetings cover a variety of things from practical nights where we take / process photographs, talks by visiting photographers and sharing photographs we have taken to receive very valuable feedback to help the learning process.
2023 will also see us cultivating the friendships and club spirit that have developed throughout 2021 With increasing member numbers, we acknowledge that we must also maintain the friendly spirit of the club so we will be running a number of social events throughout the year and look forward to meeting old and new friends in 2022.
Portlaoise Camera Club is aimed at people who are passionate about photography, whatever their skill level.
In addition the club runs a beginners course every year for five weeks
